Senior Minister: Chad Allen

Chad graduated from Johnson University in Knoxville, TN with a degree in Preaching and Bible. It was there he married his high school sweetheart, Megan and developed a deep love of warm weather and Tennessee football. Chad has been in ministry for over 10 years serving in both Kentucky and Indiana. Chad and Megan have two boys, Malachi, who is four, and Silas, who is two.  

In his spare time Chad enjoys spending time with his family, watching IU basketball and the Indianapolis Colts, reading, building forts, trying his hand at golf (much to the enjoyment of those watching), and eating Taco Bell with a large Diet Mt. Dew.

Youth Leader: Michael Gutierrez

Mike helps lead our Jr./Sr. High youth. He also is working on developing adult leaders to serve in the youth ministry.

Mike is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Christian Ministry and plans on continuing his education toward a terminal degree in Biblical Studies. Mike is married to Angela and together they have five children. Mike has a passion for the Lord and His children. Mike has coached youth baseball, softball and basketball for over fifteen years. Mike and his wife have fostered fourteen children of which six were baptized in the name of the Lord, while in their care. Mike is a four year member of The South Haven Christian School Board and is passionately involved in a multitude of school activities. In Mike’s spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and the outdoors.


Discipleship Minister: Glen Milner

Glen focuses on our discipleship process and programming. He is creating training and growth opportunities for believers to mature in their faith.

Glen graduated from Trinity International University with a PhD in Intercultural Studies. Earlier degrees in Missions and New Testament were from Lincoln Christian Seminary. For the past 15 years, Glen has been a professor for Trinity in the Urban Mission program.

Glen met his wife, Elaine, in the Philippines when they were both working with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Elaine is a tutor in ESL for Michigan City Public Schools. They have two grown children and two grandchildren.

Worship Leader: Aaron Owney
Aaron is responsible for overseeing our worship services. We desire to create a contagious environment that only offers excellence in worship.

Aaron graduated with a B.S. in Education from Kentucky Christian University in 2003, and also has a Masters in English from Purdue University. He is currently finishing a second Masters in Educational Administration and Principal’s Licensure from Ball State University. He teaches full time at Boone Grove Middle School and has been in education for nearly 10 years. 

Aaron is married to Kari and they have two children, Micah and Lilah. He has a passion for music and has been leading worship at SHCC for two years.  

In his spare time Aaron coaches his son’s little league baseball team and is a den leader for Pack 986. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and watching sports.

 

Office Manager: Anne Kronemann
Anne handles phone calls, creates the bulletins and prayer sheets, works on the new church database system, sets-up the slides for Sunday Worship service and is learning to update the website and keeps everything running smoothly. She is super organized and an absolute pleasure to be around.

Anne is married to Matt and they have four children, Tommy, Sarah, James & Chrissy. She loves to exercise and spend time with family.

School Principal/Administrator: Michael Owney

Michael graduated from Roanoke Bible College (today – Mid-Atlantic Christian University) in Elizabeth City, North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Education and was ordained into the Ministry in 1977. He has a Masters of Arts degree in Education: Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech). Mike met his wife, Sandy at College and they were married in 1976. They have two grown sons and five grandchildren. Both worked in Grundy, VA at Mountain Mission School for 11 years. Mike has been in the ministry for 35 years and in education both private and public for over 20 years. He has an A+ Technicians certification and other certifications in technology. Mike became Principal/Administrator of SHCS in 2009.
