He has wonderful secrets to share with those who accept His invitation—secrets that hold the key to a blessed and successful life.The 2012-2013 session will begin on Tuesday, September 4 at 10 am in classroom #3 with a verse-by-verse study of The Sermon on the Mount in Matthew chapters 5, 6, 7: Meeting Christ on the Mountain.Each morning begins with a short “meet and greet” time followed by prayer and the lesson. All materials for this study are provided for you at no cost. All you need is a Bible, a writing utensil, a desire to dig deep into the Word.The purpose of the Tuesday Morning Bible Study is to become better acquainted with our Heavenly Father and to personally apply the messages He has for us. The lessons are designed to challenge, get us out of our comfort a zones and to find the purpose God has for each of us. It is also a safe place to ask questions, share what’s on your heart and develop close relationships with your sisters here at SHCC. A warm welcome awaits you. Why should I attend Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Study?As our church grows larger, you need a place where everyone knows your name. You get to spend time with people you might otherwise not have an opportunity. Even if you don’t know anyone when you come, you will be made to feel welcome and loved. It is the perfect place to feel part of the family at SHCC.
This is where relationships are formed:• between class members• between each class member and God
Confidentiality - Women have unique issues and concerns. This is a safe place to share those concerns as well as finding the comfort and support that close fellowship offers. What is shared in class stays in the class. We laugh, we cry, we hug, we smile-it’s never boring!
It is an oasis from the everyday world.
You get to learn essential and no-nonsense truths from God's Word that really do help you live every day with a little more victory, a lot more joy, and the assurance that you are growing up in Christ! And as you grow in His Word, you also grow more and more in love with the God of the Word.
When and where do you meet?Our Bible Study meets at 10am in Room 3. We begin with a short time of fellowship, followed by prayer and then begin digging into the Word. Our session ends between 11:45am and noon. Many of the women go out for lunch together to continue the time of fellowship.
What do you study and how much will it cost?The studies vary from verse-by-verse studies of a book in the Bible to topical studies. Most of the time, all materials are provided at no cost to you. All you need is a Bible and a pen or pencil. Occasionally, we do use purchased materials but the cost is kept to a minimum.
Will I be required to talk or pray out loud?Only if you want to.
What if I don’t know much about the Bible?That’s ok. We’ll learn together.
Is childcare available?Not at this time.
